Fixing Your Mistakes

Yesterday I spent my afternoon at the East Valley Business Expo manning a booth for Integrum and had the good fortune of being next to a coffee brewer’s booth. As I was setting up my booth I saw his banner in front:

Obviously as much as caffeine makes me more likely to be a moral person, I don’t think that was the intent of his banner. I pointed this out to my booth neighbor before the show opened and he was less than pleased. He picked up his cell phone right away and dialed up the printing company to complain about their mistake.

I figured that was the end of it, he’d get told it was his fault for not proofing it or something and he was on his own. Later however I took my turn through the aisles and when I returned I noticed the banner again:

The banner’s printer apologized and rushed out a new banner, with correct spelling, and set it up on site at the Expo for him as quickly as they could. That my friends is the right way to fix a mistake. You can bet that I’ll be giving Group Imaging a shot at our next printing job based on that customer service alone.
