Less Talk – More Action

Really, stop talking about all the things you are going to do or are planning. Start doing them. An idea by itself is useless. Implementation is what is powerful. There are plenty of people who have plenty of ideas, but only the select few actually reach an audience and do something powerful.
- Don’t tell me about the new lead generation plan you’re finalizing the details on, tell me how you started to try something new yesterday.
- Don’t tell me about the new web application you are writing all the specs for, show me the first few lines of code and the splash page.
- Don’t tell me about the new company you’re looking at starting once you get enough people interested, start it up and if you’re interesting clients will come.
If we all took 90% of the time we spent talking about doing something, and actually do it – imagine how much more would get done. If nothing else if more ideas start happening in real life, a few of them may actually be good.

Doing means the possibility of failure. Too many people are scared shitless of that.
I agree, but not doing precludes the possibility of any success either. Mediocrity is the only result of fear.
