Apologies to Herm Edwards for the title, but Herm got it right – You don’t play to just play and you shouldn’t be selling just to be selling. You should be selling to win the game. Winning the game is going to be different for every one of us – but you should be playing to win. Be the highest grossing salesman in your department, or your office, or your company. Anyone can go through the motions and make the minimum commitments and get by – but the winners are the ones that do more. Stay late, network harder, do whatever you got to do to win.
